Mon Consulting recognizes impartiality as one of the most important means of building trust, ensuring the validity and reliability of our certification activities and assessment results.
The management of Mon Consulting adheres to the principles of impartiality embodied in the ISO 17021:2015 standard and understands the importance of impartiality in carrying out management system certification activities, manages conflicts of interest and ensures the objectivity of its management system certification activities. Mon Consulting retains authority and responsibility for decisions made regarding its activities.
Mon Consulting has a process for identifying, assessing, handling, monitoring and documenting risks associated with conflicts of interest arising from the provision of certification, including any conflicts arising from its ongoing relationships. Mon Consulting's operational impartiality means that certification activities are not linked to other tasks or services of the company (e.g. joint pricing, marketing, sales, etc.).
If there are any threats to impartiality (for example, a wholly owned subsidiary of a group of companies that requires certification from its parent company, or a threat to self-audit, or a threat to self-interest, or a threat to loss of trust, or a threat to pressure and/or intimidation, Mon Consulting will document and demonstrate how it eliminates or minimizes such threats, and will also document any residual risk of threats that are identified regardless of whether they arise within Mon Consulting or from the activities of other persons, bodies or organizations controlled by Mon Consulting , certification will not be granted.
Policies and procedures are non-discriminatory and are applied in a non-discriminatory manner. Mon Consulting makes its services available to all applicants.
All internal or external personnel of Mon Consulting are required to declare that they are free from any undue commercial, financial or other pressure that could affect their impartiality. Personnel who have provided advice to an organization seeking certification for two years shall not be involved in any part of the certification process. Personnel working under contract shall be required to disclose any situation that may give rise to a conflict of interest. If it is not possible to demonstrate the absence of a conflict of interest, personnel shall not be appointed as assessors.
Mon Consulting ensures organizational impartiality so that certification decisions are made by different people than those who conduct the assessment. Mon Consulting ensures that the activities of related bodies do not affect the confidentiality, objectivity and impartiality of its certification. Mon Consulting avoids any situations that could create a conflict of interest arising from the activities of any related body, especially if the related body may have an interest in the results of any assessment process. The Certification Manager (CM) is responsible for making decisions regarding certification activities if he is not involved in the assessment process.
And if a conflict of interest is identified, Mon Consulting will not certify such a company. Mon Consulting guarantees that nothing is said or implied that would suggest that certification would be simpler, easier, faster or cheaper if any specific personnel or consulting organization were used. Mon Consulting's activities are not represented as being connected with the activities of any consulting organization.
